We are an informal and friendly collection of

beekeepers engaged in the development of our

craft in the sometimes harsh environment in

North West Wales.

Formed in 1925, we now number around 100 members who meet monthly in the winter months and welcome visitors. The ABKA is a member of the Welsh Beekeepers Association. We have a very active training section which regularly runs Beginner and Improver courses. We favour our locally adapted Welsh Black Honey Bee (Apis mellifera mellifera) and discourage the introduction of less suitable strains of honey bee from milder climes.
